All The Worlds A Stage…Or At Least Your House Is When Its Time To Sell.

In today’s real estate market, home staging is widely recognized as an important part of the selling process. The value of a good first impression is clear when it comes to selling your home. Indeed, a study by The Bank of Montreal in 2013 went as far as concluding that “80% of prospective buyers know if a home is right for them as soon as they step inside” (BMO Psychology of House Hunting Report, May 2, 2013). There can still be plenty of hurdles between a buyer feeling that a house is right for them and a successfully completed sale, but adequately preparing your property for the market is a step in the right direction.

When I began my career in real estate almost three decades ago, the term staging was not in use. The concept was well understood by savvy Realtors though. Working under the guidance of experienced, succesful Realtors ( who where also my Dad and Step-Mom ) I learned the value of property preparation in real estate sales and marketing.
